Skin Tyte II works by depositing infrared heat deep into the dermis, which is where our collagen and elastin fibers are found. The immediate response to the infrared heat exposure is a contraction of the collagen and elastin fibers. Longer-term, fibroblasts (cells that make collagen) are activated which stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin in response to wound-healing which continues to take place for up to 6 months after the initial heating. This tissue remodelling results in a thickening of the dermis and shrinking of elastin fibers plus the contraction of collagen, resulting in the improvement of the skin’s firmness.
Skin Tyte treatment is safe for all skin types and can be performed on any area of the body where an improvement in your skin firmness is desired. Popular areas include the face, neck, hands, abdomen and chest. Most individuals require 4-6 sessions with each session spaced at an interval of 2-4 weeks.
Aging, sun damage from UV light, smoking, stress, excessive alcohol intake and an unhealthy diet and lifestyle all contribute to the degradation of collagen and elastin in the dermis which over time, will cause the skin to loosen and sag.

The Sciton SkinTyte system delivers infrared light deep into the dermis.
The heat from the special light causes the collagen and elastic fibers to shrink and tighten. Plus it stimulates the remodeling of the collagen. The remodeled collagen helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while restoring elasticity to sagging skin.
The best results are in the face and neck area. Specifically the upper jaw, lower jaw, and nasolabial folds.
Skin Tyte is a also a great option to reduce the appearance of pore size if it is due to loss of elasticity. Generally pores appear larger due to loss of elasticity or congestion.
We recommend a series of 4-6 performed at 2-4 week intervals. Then you can come in every few months for a maintenance session.
SkinTyte system is FDA-approved and documented to be safer and more comfortable than the bulk heating approach of other systems because it is highly selective and more advanced in targeting collagen and elastic fibers in your loose skin.
Patients experience mild redness in the treated area immediately after treatment. This will last only a short time.
Since the SkinTyte procedure is noninvasive, you can resume your normal activities immediately following treatment.
