About the clinic

Finding a trusted skincare guide is not always an easy job. Many practitioners charge a large fee to simply sit down and discuss your skincare goals. At SKN Clinic we always offer complimentary consultations because it is our passion and our mission to help as many people as we can to achieve healthy, youthful, long-living skin. You will never feel pressured at SKN. We believe knowledge is power and our approach is educating our clients so they can make an informed decision.

Our Values

Vancouver’s Original Skin Care Clinic

We opened our doors in Yaletown fifteen years ago as Vancouver’s first natural skin clinic. Our founders saw the need to bridge the gap between the medical aesthetics and traditional spa offerings to create a one-of-a-kind experience. Through a professional assessment and a consistent treatment plan, you will see long-lasting results that will make you look your best and feel empowered.

World Class Innovation

At SKN, we take pride in being able to provide a wide variety of in-house services to ensure your skin is being treated exactly how your body needs it to be. Not only do we carry top-tier equipment, but we actively stay engaged within the industry to learn and grow as new technologies open up new doors in the future of skin care.

Redefining Beauty

At SKN, we approach beauty from a holistic perspective, encompassing the health and look of your skin while cultivating a positive inner state of being. By considering the mind-body connection, we are able to paint the entire picture and understand how the internal is affecting the external. SKN redefines the meaning of beauty by putting an emphasis on your overall health and how this is reflected on your skin.

What our Clients say

“I’ve been going to SKN for a few months. I keep going back because Amanda is amazing! She is so knowledgeable, very personable, and I can tell she really cares about her clients. I’ve shopped around Vancouver for a great spa for the last few years, so I’m really happy I finally found one I love.”

– Melissa G.

“Was in over the weekend for BBL, neck Skin Tyte and cosmetic acupuncture. I was made to feel welcome right away; everyone was friendly, professional and had a great sense of humour. I was at first skeptical of the effectiveness, but I’ve noticed a big difference with my neck in a day. Many have also commented that I look rested and am glowing. If the results keep up, I’ll definitely be back.”

– Diane C.

“Had a treatment to remove some sun damage to my face, and some hair removal on my back. I’ve had treatments at some other places in town, and none compared to the treatmentI received at SKN from Michelle. Very professional, very calming. An awesome experience for sure. I’ll definitely be back”

– Corey R.

Our Staff

At the age of 22, Amanda decided she wanted more from her career. With a degree in psychology and a wealth of experience in social care, Amanda set out to explore the world. Formative years spent abroad in places such as Korea led Amanda to the discovery of the powers of eastern medicine. Upon her return to Canada, Amanda spent several years at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver.

While completing her Acupuncture studies, Amanda traveled to California to learn Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture under the guidance of Martha Lucas. After seeing firsthand how effective Cosmetic Acupuncture was in decreasing and preventing aging of the skin, Amanda was inspired.

Amanda’s passion and knowledge led her to create the Award Winning SKN Holistic Rejuvenation Clinic. SKN is the only clinic that combines the powers of Eastern medicine, medical esthetics and skin nutrition. This unique concept allows the SKN team to improve the look and health of both the skin and the internal health of each client, so results are holistic and long term.

Amanda and her team are continuously researching and pushing the boundaries of modern skincare. Through SKN, she offers clients innovative and non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments, all in an effort to repair, restore and replenish the skin and body. Amanda’s mission is to provide great skincare and services while both educating and inspiring others.

In 2011 Amanda launched her first product, called The SKN Spin – a dermal roller system. The SKN Spin Dermal Roller was handed out at the 2012 Emmy Awards.

In 2013 Amanda successfully formulated and launched her first skin care line called Skin Addix, a natural cosmeceutical line.

In 2016 Amanda was inspired to merge her passion for skincare with her deep love of soul nourishment. After 16 long months she launched her new heartfelt vision to the world;

Forget Beauty was created from Amanda’s decade as a holistic skin-care expert and her deep understanding of the vulnerability underneath the human quest for beauty. The result is a community that celebrates self-love in all its forms.

Amanda and her clinic have been featured in Monte Cristo Magazine, Nuvo Magazine, Vista Magazine, The Coveteur, Health Line, and numerous blogs.

Amanda’s Philosophy:

“I had a vision to create a place that was different from all the other spas and clinics. My goal was to build a peaceful, calm oasis filled with heart – where each and every client felt valued and taken care of. SKN would be a place where clients came to relax, laugh, cry and have fun; all while achieving healthy, vibrant skin and a balanced state of being. I could not achieve this goal without a wonderful team that is not only extremely knowledgeable but truly passionate about helping people achieve healthy, beautiful skin.”
