AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
The first step is a complimentary skin consult with a skilled SKN Practitioner to determine if you are a candidate for the treatment and your specific skin needs.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR TREATMENT
Your treatment will begin with a topical anaesthetic that takes about 30 minutes to set in. During this time your practitioner will educate you on post-care and what will happen during the treatment. The treatment will then begin with the laser working over the entire treatment area and takes 20-60 minutes depending on areas treated. The laser will send wave-lengths to different depths of the skin providing a thorough rejuvenation of your skin.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR TREATMENT
The area treated will be sensitive and hot following the treatment and this can last a couple hours. We encourage clients to have their treatment on their day off or at the end of the day so there is time to relax and recover.
Over the first 3 days pigment from the damaged skin is brought to the surface. We call this damaged skin MENDS. The MENDS will then begin to naturally flake off revealing you’re fresh healthy, new complexion. The whole process takes 4-7 days depending on your specific skin response and needs. During this time and the coming month healthy, new tissue is regenerating at the deeper layers.
It will take a few months to see the full visible results of the treatment. It is very important that you are committed to wearing sunscreen daily and following a good home care regime to ensure the results achieved are longterm.

FAQ
The Halo Laser and Fraxel laser utilize different wavelengths. The Halo treatment is a more advanced technology that uses both short and long wavelengths at the same time. A Fraxel treatment uses longer, more ablative wavelengths. Halo is the preferred treatment solution as it provides improvements to both skin layers and the bonus of little downtime.
The first mandatory step is a complimentary skin consultation to determine that you are a good candidate. Then you will book your Halo session. The first step of your Halo treatment is the application of a topical numbing agent to make the treatment comfortable for you. The area will be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the area is treated evenly. The Practitioner will then treat the area. After the session you will go home with post-care products and instruction to care for your skin as it heals over the next 3-7 days.
With a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, most patients experience very little discomfort. Most patients describe the treatment as a feeling of heat with occasional prickling sensations, but are generally comfortable. After the treatment, most clients will continue to feel mild warmth extreme warmth for 3-24 hours with deeper treatment levels. Swelling and redness is common and expected after treatment. Crusting will start to develop on day 2.
2-3 months after final treatment; many clients do have significant improvement after 1 treatment.
Your Halo results will last for years to come, but you should continue to keep your skin protected at all times using UV sunscreen to protect your new, healthy skin. Each additional Halo treatment you get will only improve the results, giving you even better looking skin. It is important that you make healthy daily choices; food, skincare, de-stress etc…… to achieve your healthiest skin and the best results.
You will experience redness, swelling and crusting for 3-7 days depending on strength of treatment. The healing time will be explained in detail at your complimentary consultation.
This will depend on your specific skin needs. Clients have an average series of 1-3.
